Executive Coaching:

 All of These Star Performers
 Need  Coaching to Succeed
 and Survive . . .

 You Can Use a Top
Executive Coach for Your Star Performers

Star Performers Need Top Coaches

No one would consider not pairing a top athlete with a winning coach. The best athletes command huge salaries over the multiple years of their contracts because they win games and championships.   Successful executives command top salaries because organizations excel when--and only when--they have the right leadership.

Do Executives Really Need Coaching?

So why is it that top stars in every sport have regular workouts and practice with a coach every day, but top executives believe they can do it on their own?  Corporate executives command high salaries, and in most cases the investment of the organization is justified.

Yet executives often end up isolated and alone at the top, with their only feedback coming from within the organization--from people who basically share an insider's perspective.   This can be disastrous in a day when relationships with employees, board members, customers, global partners, investors and regulators are as complex as an ambassadorship to a large country.

More and more organizations are turning to executive coaches to fill this void.

How Do You Find a Top Executive Coach?

The Delta Associates has developed a methodology to work with executives that enables them to achieve their goals.  Carol Kallendorf, Ph.D., and Jack Speer are experienced senior executives who understand the corporate and organization world at every level.

Here's How the Program Works

We Provide Tools.  We begin with assessments such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the FIR0-B, and the CPI 260 which provide the senior executive with advanced tools for leadership.  These assessments show the executive how they communicate--and miscommunicate, the strengths and blind spots of their leadership style, how they interact with others and how they are likely to impact the people around them.

We Develop Information.  We enable the senior executive to tap into his or her most important source for development, the colleagues and constituents who work with him or her every day.  We do that by interviewing the people who are in the best position to have valuable insights into the executive's strengths and challenges.

We Identify Themes and Issues.  Usually as we visit with the executive's colleagues,  we "connect the dots" and themes and issues emerge that form the core of the executive coaching sessions.   These are behaviors and actions that have had winning results and others that have had negative effects.

We Discover the Executive's Peak Performance Patterns.  Senior executives are creative leaders that have behaviors that have allowed them to achieve.  We identify what those success factors are and try to integrate them into the executive's habits.

We Develop Winning Messages and Strategies.  One of the fundamental roles of the senior executive is to create the vision and the strategy for the organization and to keep that vision and strategy alive and moving forward.  We work the executive in creating and maintaining them.

Many men and women in organizations have extraordinary talents and track records and are  about to get fired.

A set of behaviors often unseen by themselves causes reactions so negative that they jeopardize their organizations and careers.

Several years ago I knew a young engineer who was in middle management in a manufacturing plant.  He had the looks of a movie star and the physique of a bodybuilder.  He was earnest and hardworking beyond belief.

And he was failing.

I talked to him one day when he was at the point of tears.  "I've given my life for this plant, and people don't trust me and I don't understand why," he told me.

"It's really simple, Joe," I told him.

"When you walk through the plant you don't see anyone--you don't look to the right or to the left.  You do it because you are so focused.  But you make people think you don't think they're important.  So they don't like you, they don't trust you and they'd like to see you gone."

Joe learned to make eye contact as he went about his job, and the rest is history.  He ended up with a great position at the global level of the corporation.
